Let's face it, not everyone visits Aspen just for skiing. A significant draw for many is the incredible après-ski and parties the town offers. While there are numerous après spots in Aspen, the list below caters to those seeking more of an après party vibe! Having visited Aspen for eight years, here's a guide on how to enjoy the après scene properly.
Cloud 9:
At the top of the list is Cloud 9. Famous for its champagne showers, this cozy, European-style cabin set against the iconic Maroon Bells is a must-see on any Aspen Snowmass vacation. Enjoy the fondue and stay for the après DJ and champagne. Standard lunch reservations are at 11:30 and 11:45. For the Après lunch, reservations are at 1:30 or 1:45. Reservations are required and must be prepaid. This is a ski-in, ski-out restaurant and is not accessible by any other means. Hopefully, you're a good skier after the champagne!

Snow Lodge
Snow Lodge, my personal favorite, is conveniently located in the courtyard of the St. Regis hotel. Every weekend from mid-December to the end of March, it hosts incredible DJs from around the world, starting at 3 PM and wrapping up around 6:30 PM. Afterward, you can continue the fun at the Jade Room, right next door, which also features DJs. Note that this requires a separate ticket. Make sure to purchase your tickets in advance, especially if a well-known DJ is performing. Tickets for GA start at around $400/per person and can get up to $600 pp. if you would like a table they start at $10,000 for a group of 10 people.
Eleven212
Eleven212 is a recent addition to Aspen. Situated at 11,212 feet above sea level, it overlooks downtown Aspen and is located next to the historic Sundeck Restaurant. You can reach Eleven212 by foot or skis to experience live music and DJ performances, breathtaking views of Elk Mountain, a carefully selected food and drink menu, and a lively après atmosphere that reflects Aspen's heritage. Gather with friends in an open-air cabin, warm up by the fire on Adirondack chairs, explore classic ski sweaters at the merchandise cabin, or get close to the stage—every spot on this summit offers a great view. Arrive by Silver Queen Gondola (skiing not required) or glide in on skis to discover Aspen's legendary après scene.

Times: 12PM-3PM (3:30PM closing after March 1st)

What to wear
Aspen après is a spot where you'll encounter a fascinating mix of people, making it perfect for people-watching. Après attracts people straight off the mountain in full ski gear, those dressed in western style with plenty of Kemo Sabe hats, and, naturally, all the fur you can imagine. You really can't go wrong with any of these styles at après.

An Aspen après is definitely one of my favorite ways to experience the mountains in winter. What could surpass having wonderful friends, an incredible DJ, and stunning views?!
Safe Travels
