Unveiling the Luxurious Elegance of Estelle Manor: A 5-Star Retreat in Oxfordshire

Estelle Manor has been at the top of my list since I heard of its opening and we booked a trip last minute while we are in the UK. It has quickly become one of the most popular destinations outside of London and I understand why. We snagged two nights and got fully ensconced and I am excited to share more about our experience.

Since our arrival, we have been amazed. The decoration is incredibly beautiful, with something to appreciate in every corner. The Manor is truly breathtaking when you first arrive. Passing through the grand entrance, you drive down the long driveway and are greeted by the magnificent sandstone building, impeccably kept lawns, and a friendly welcome from the gentlemen at the entrance.

Just 45 mins from Heathrow or a 1.5 drive from London it’s a great addition to any London trip. It is not only a hotel, but the property also functions as a members club offering a lovely space to relax, play Padel, or enjoy the Spa and gym.

We visited during the middle of the week, so there was a lively atmosphere without being too crowded, which suited us. Upon our arrival, we immediately settled into our room before venturing out to explore the grounds. Despite the heavy rain, it was nice to discover the amenities the property had to offer. Our walk concluded as we snuggled up by the fire, sipping on a cup of coffee to keep warm.

There are numerous room types available to choose from. We decided to stay in the main manor, and I am so pleased that we did. Our room exemplified old-world elegance, beautiful bed and pink shower plus the most exquisite and beautiful mini bar we have ever encountered. The best part about our room was we had our own fireplace. A real fire is something I adore and really enjoy as it is not something we enjoy in Miami. Being located in the Main house also means its extra easy to get to dinner. I have said it before and I will say it again there is something truly special to walk down from your hotel room to dinner and enjoy a digestif at the bar afterward.

During our second day, we explored the Spa known as the Eynsham Baths, a newly built structure inspired by ancient Roman Baths. Visitors can indulge in various treatments or leisurely navigate through the Baths Thermal facilities. From the sauna and steam room to the pool, cold plunge, and Scottish buckets, there is a wide range of experiences to enjoy. Trying the cold plunge for the first time was surprisingly enjoyable. It is impossible to mention Estelle without highlighting the outdoor pool situated at the back of the property. The pool is heated, allowing guests to take a refreshing swim even during the colder seasons.

If you have a passion for interiors like I do, you will share my sense of wonder. The intricate details of each room never failed to captivate me, drawing me in with their unique charm and character. During my visits, I found myself eagerly absorbing every aspect, from the decor to the layout, as if trying to etch each space into my mind. There was always a new discovery waiting to be made, adding a layer of excitement and intrigue.

Each space within Estelle offered a distinct experience. The Orangery, where breakfast was served, exuded a bright and refreshing ambiance, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. The Library, with its cozy atmosphere, became our go-to spot for leisurely coffee breaks, providing a quiet sanctuary amidst the bustling surroundings. As evening fell, the Brasserie beckoned with its inviting warmth, offering a delightful setting for enjoying a delicious dinner anod not forgetting the Bar to enjoy an evening tipple.

Venturing over to the Glasshouse was like stepping into a hidden gem within the walled garden cottages. Surrounded by fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers, the restaurant provided a more relaxed dinner setting as another option. The food we were not blown away by, but that surprisingly didn't negatively impact our experience. We know they have tw other options to explore which we will try on our next visit.

What to wear:

Think country chic, understated elegance and comfortable.

When to go:

I think the best time for this property is in the fall or it would equally be beautiful in Winter. Christmas time would be magical here. The design and color palette, stunning fire places and coziness means it’s not somewhere I’d be drawn to for the Summer time.

They have so much to offer onsite you wouldn’t feel the need to leave once you have checked in. There are a number of different dining options with more opening on the weekend which we plan to return to experience. Our overall experience was so memorable, leaving me with a deep appreciation for the artistry and thoughtfulness that went into crafting such a beautiful space.

Estelle, I am excited for my return visit.

Love Keva xx
